Our story begins in 1930s Camden, New Jersey, where Catherine Gimello rolled cigars by hand — crafting each one with the precision and care that would define our family for generations.
Her husband Rocco carried that appreciation for fine tobacco into every evening, enjoying premium cigars while talking baseball. It was a tradition of leisure, conversation, and craftsmanship.
In 2001, their grandson Steve Gimello — a former sales rep for a prominent cigar manufacturer — honored this heritage by opening Brookelynn Premium Cigars (named after his daughter Brooke Lynn) and Rocco's Cigar Bar (named after his grandfather).
Today, we are Wilmington's only cigar bar with a full liquor license — a sanctuary for those who understand that a great cigar deserves a great setting.
